Doesn't look like this going to happen. Maybe next year!
Climbing is Dangerous
Climbing is inherently dangerous and the risk of death or serious injury can never be completely eliminated. It is up to each individual to make his or her own choices regarding acceptable risk. Tweetups are collaborative efforts with no individual organizers, and each participant only assumes liability for their own well being, just as you assume liability for yours! Cheers!
Participants - Who's Planning on Going?
If you think you might be able to make it, put your name on the list with any relevant notes. (i.e. possibly bringing friends, etc.)\
Important!!! Seneca Rocks is mostly multi-pitch trad climbing. Prior trad climbing experience is highly recommended. It is also recommended that you have at least a rough arrangement of someone to climb with. Climbing parties larger than 3 is not recommended.
Vehicle Count
Add your name and how many vehicles you will have, also note if you can carpool
- @PrivonG (coming from Charlottesville, VA. willing to carpool)
Dates
Ideas for dates.. put your name down if some work better than others.
We'll try to avoid picking the same weekend as the JTreeTweetup.

Local / Campsite Info
Princess Snowbird campground across the street is the best bet (approach to climbs is to walk across the street!). $7 per person per night.
Free camping is available down the road at the Seneca Shadows Forest Service Campground.
Yokum's store has basic groceries and a Deli. There is also a restaurant which serves pizza.
The Gendarme (gear shop) has a nice covered porch to hang out on if it's raining.
Routes / Guidebook
The Tony Barnes guidebook (2nd Edition) is recommended. The Falcon Guide to WV/VA/MD has some routes, but isn't nearly as complete.
Gear
- @PrivonG - trad rack, rope. guidebook
Emergency Info
There is no cell phone service at Seneca Rocks. There is a payphone in front of Yokum's store.
