In an emergency call San Bernardino Dispatch at 909-383-5651. Call collect. Cell phone coverage is spotty in the park. A pay phone is located at the visitor center in Twentynine Palms. You can find pay phones in the towns of Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree and at Chiriaco Summit (12 miles southeast of Cottonwood). Emergency-only phones are located at the ranger station in Indian Cove and at Intersection Rock parking area.
